first i'd like to say a busse clan khukri would be the worlds greatest fixed blade, deposing the battle mistress.
second, i'd like to say that being sr77 or infi won't really make a kurki much better than a him imp. not worth the premium in price, though i'd still buy it.
what will make em better and worth it? ResC grip. make it a scrapper.
18", i don't care how thick or thin. could be machete thin, fine by me.

Just to be clear - HI measures khuks by overall length, not blade length. Is the poll OAL or just blade length?

definetly overall length
i own 4 HI and many other brands. the HI khuks are my favorite. i also like khukuri palace but a busse khuk would be able to compete with it if it is the same size. the busse heat treat is super tough and could compete strength wise with the HI differential heat treatment i don't know which i would like more <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> but i am willing to find out

If OAL then 18" would be my choice.

Ahhhh... An SR-77 Kukri. That would be very nice. However, I'm gonna have to say it's gonna need at least 1/2" thick steel for an 18 incher. If it's 20 inch + we need like 9/16" thick steel or more. Now that would be the chopper.
SYK could make a thinner one for the jungles. Probably 1/8 or 3/16 stock.
Those would be awesome.

82% want something larger than 15 inches. at 42% 18 inches is the lucky number. i wonder if it will ever happen?
