Nice Sebbie, Walker, Congrats. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

That was what I was really wanting as a folder when I went to Blade this year because I've always considered them one of the best, and still do. I looked and looked and shopped and compared, and although the Sebbie was a top contender, all things considered I had to go with the Lion Steel SR-1. I've been EDCing every day since, and couldn't be happier. The Sebbie has a little smoother action, but I absolutely love the one piece TI handle on the SR-1, along with the rock solid lock up and Rotoblock.

I know what you mean on the CS folders, Vic, I have several and have EDC'd them over the years without fail, they are great, I have one that's gotta be 15+ years old now and is still a great folder. I'm not too happy about the new re-design on them... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

I still plan to own a Sebbie someday. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I like the looks of that ZT 0550 too! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

On the cold steel voyager series redesign. The website says it has aluminum liners not steel. I think that is a great idea as it would give up little in the way of strength (over steel) but will keep the weight down also.

I really wish I could have kept my order for the Kershaw Volt.

I checked and you are correct. The new 5.5" blade Voyager will weigh about 5.75 oz.

Update: The new Voyagers have been pulled from all the CS sites. So if anyone wants a Voyager, better get one of the older ones left in stock. If you want a BIG knife that carries like a feather in your pocket, the Voyagers are hard to beat.

I think my next folder is either going to be a Case or SAK

An update, kind of, to my favorite folder. I have upgraded mine a bit. I purchased a Kershaw JYDII Ti/SG2 blem. I then swapped the hollow ground Sg2/410 laminated blade for the 14C28N/CPM-D2 composite blade from the 1625CB. It now has the super titanium scales but with the full flat ground CPM-D2 blade. It is not quite as smooth yet as the 1625CB was in its original arrangement but it opens nicely, I think the titanium frame lock adds a bit more resistance to the blade pivoting. It really is pretty unbelievably tight.

first impressions are that its a really good quality knife. i dont know if its worth how much they sell for brand new. i think my Gayle Bradley is just as good and it only cost a fraction of the price. it doesnt open to smoothly either, but i can probably fix it with some lube. lock up is really good. kinda difficult to disengage the lock. these are only my first impressions, ill be carrying it the next few weeks to see how it holds up.

Tone, your impression of the Sebenza is the same as I had when I had one.
