think it'd void the warranty? Now that you mention it, I may make a separate Ti scale for my CR sebenza and give it the same treatment, if i can find the time...

I usually carry a Sebenza but thought I would try something different.

This is the El Patron from Calavera Cutlery. It's blade is made from SM100.

i bought a limted run, high priced case "lannys clip" that i waited 4 months for & had to return..............if you notice ...the scale is pulling away from the liner & the blade is not centered......i would expect it would be on a $300 knife..

That stinks Vance I would expect better from a company associated with Zippo.

Ouch!

Is that Ebony (or other dense wood)? Ebony is rarely stabilized because of the inherent density of the wood and natural oils present; warping usually doesn't happen though. I hope they take care of it.

On the centering, is it a slip joint that is pinned or riveted together or does it use screws? If it uses screws, the centering may be workable. I hope they make it right for you.

Edit: Oh, I didn't read that it was a Case, pinned.
