Implume- starting from the aluminium finger guard the White Hunter has a fine cut saw (for over ripe tomatoes or similar!), the main utility edge, a skinning friendly spear point, a batoning anvil then finally a heavy cutting edge on the spine for saplings and similar.. The other design note is that the tang is much thinner stock than the blade so lateral strength is questionable! The tang also features a hole to thread through a loop from the sheath called by Puma the no-loose-em loop.. I'm not making this up! I read a field test report in a shooting mag' a few years ago and remember as I always sort of liked the knife when I was a kid..

Anyway while it's pretty a Scrapweiler would totally outdo it at everything other than slicing over ripe tomatoes!

Paul:

I loved the White Hunter when I was a kid. I wish I’d bought one back then, and kept it. I did own a Hunter’s Pal, until my brother convinced me to trade it for some other knife. (Sigh.) Even though I loved the White Hunter, I didn’t quite understand its features. They have made less and less sense to me as the years went by. I still wouldn’t turn down a German made WH as a drawer queen. But I’d never accept it as a user.

S7 or The Scrapweiler or ScrapSquatch. Decisions, Decisions. Heck, let's have all three!

I think Scrapweiler just trips off the tongue.. KnifeGuy's design is spot on too! But I'd settle for a S7 though. The Sars' swedge just means chewed up batons and a weaker point in my world..

This is just wishful thinking on my part, but the fourth of July is just around the corner...

A coincidental new release would be a great way to celebrate.

They have had a long wait. I hope they hang in there and get those DMDCs soon. Then, bring on the chopper!

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
