HIS DOG!

[Linked Image from i231.photobucket.com]

thats right, at long last, the DMDC has arrived! Along with my SY baseball cap (a nice touch) The knife is here in all its glory. Since I have no pants for it, I slipped it into my SOG SEAL pup sheath. So with this pristine, mint-condition knife in my hands, I did the only sensible thing: I gave it a good workout! And for those of you who have lots of knives sitting around but just can't bring yourself to use them, I've made a step-by-step guide. In this case, I'll be making a small fire for practice.

Step 1: remove knife from sheath

Step 2: Baton

Step 3: Slice

(these are from the factory edge, so its not that bad)

Step 4: Scrape

[Linked Image from i231.photobucket.com]
(this fine fatwood dust will burn a long time and strike very easily)

Now that you knife's hunger for action has been fed, gather the fatwood into a small pile. Place that pile on flat piece of wood, strike it, and add the flaming torch to your kindling. Now sit back with your happy knife and enjoy.

Now go out there and use 'em!

Have you hugged your camp knife today?

Hahah, good stuff. I skipped out on the DMDC, but I love using my new DMCG.

Nice teepee fire, I failed so hard trying to get one on the landscaping rock. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Though the log-cabin was much easier.

Great stuff, I have to disagree with you bro as I still think a real canine is mans best friend......A Scrapyard knife comes a close second though !!!!
