Nice story Rainwalker. You should take a trip here to Utah, lots and lots of Indian ruins to checkout. You'd feel at home.

I'm sure I'd love it out there. I've been to New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado each once and loved that part of the country. I really like the southwest and I really hope to spend some more time out there some day. I need to visit Utah so I can make my Four Corners experience complete too!

Not sure if you knew, but there is a spot where all four states meet, it's called Four Corners, so actually you could make one trip and visit all four states in a flash, LOL

I almost went there once, I was close... The whole Four Corners thing kinda scares me though... I can't help but wonder if when you get there, all you see is 4 Walmarts and 4 Starbucks facing each other.

Actually though, I have got to make it Monument Valley some day, I've been to Anasazi Ruins, at Mesa Verde and a few others. I'd love to see some of the Natural Bridges out there too.

We have Natural Bridges Monument on Hwy 95, have not been there myself yet.

Ah. Well, you know now. I later wanted to change my name at BF, but saw you had to pay them to do it. Bah.

I searched for the original What Does Your Forum Name Mean? thread. Why type out the same thing twice, thought I? No luck, I couldn't find it.

Can anybody find that thread and post a link?

Thanks.

yup,i unabashedly stole this idea from the busse forum but hey, this is the scrapyard forum so....what the hell do some of those crazy and impossible to pronounce forums handles mean.

of coarse i will start.

my name is NORTHERN1 and i am way more than an alcoholic,busse-holic,scrapyard-holic,swamprat-holic,edged weapon/tool-holic.............i could go on.

many people from the southern united states refer to themselves as "southerners" and since i am from one of the more northern regions of the country,up-state new york i thought i'd call my self "northerner" but someone already took that one.

so after about 3-4 attempts at other names and some monkeying around i ended up NORTHERN1,as in "the one from the north",kind of like "chosen one" except northern1.

now i wasnt thinking at the time that i was really more like a MIDDLE-1 with people like COLD ONE and UNSUB being far more north than me.but like many people have stated,"if i knew i was going to get so involved in these forums i would've thought of something else"

while i didnt give hardly any thought to my name and it has absolutely no personal meaning to me i am kind of fond of it.

so dogs,what the hell do names like UNSUB mean...{lol,i'm not picking on you}

ones like cold one and pitdog are easy.another one i've never been able to figure out is DUMPSTER DAN

A great thread to start. Some I knew but others are new and cool

Dumpster was easy...all my diving, Dan on the other hand only my mother knows LOL

Dan

Yea, Sharp was just by accident. I actually was gonna use another name but I tried Sharp and odd enough, no one has that name. So I'm "Sharp" now.

Plus it's fun using it as Pun... oops... I said it.

If that's the case, you might wanna give those people a map and a thermometer! LOL! Just tell them to travel north until the temperature drops at least 20 degrees Celsius, then they'll know they're heading in the right direction! LOL!
