I had a few free hours this weekend between naps for my 1-year old and my day job. I threw a piece of metal against my HF belt sander and this fell off. It's made of 3/16" A2, as usual with natural canvas micarta slabs:

And the size:

I'm getting a little faster (but not much better) with practice. I really have alot of respect for all those real knifemakers out there.

Also... I've been thinking of adding a swedge to my DMDC. Has anyone done this? I really think it needs something to break up the flatness of the grind.

Wow, that looks real good. What are you going to call it? I love the micro hatchet you made.

Looks good, and it's a very useful size. By the way, I am a big fan of natural canvas micarta too.

That would make a nice companion to that little Hatchet too! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
