I hope this comes at a good price. There are drips and dribbles of photos of the SAR4 coming out on BF and that is looking totally like my kind of knife too. 2 infi blades at once though??? Hope not!

Wow, sure can miss a lot in a few days.

I like the color of the "mudders" on the first page.

Like many I'm planning ahead for Blade right now and picking up my first piece of INFI. I really like the S5 design and INFI would be nice however, after the MUK, a couple of folders and a surefire my toy account is a bit depleted . So in all honesty I hope it's not made from INFI. Besides with using INFI the only way the price to performance ratio is going to be up to yard standards is if Dan poured enough blue label down Jerry to convince him to give away the INFI and I don't think that's going to happen besides Dan would have to raise the price of the knives for a year to pay of his CC... LOL.

JYD#14 Do you need one, of course you do it's a knife and you like knives.....

For crying out loud people - if it's a hoax, it's a hoax being pulled by Dumpster Dan himself. Many of us saw the original picture, on the original Scrap Yard photobucket account, and the blade said INFI plain as day. If anyone is photoshopping anything, it's the owner of the Scrap Yard photobucket account, and somehow I seriously doubt that happened.

If the scrapper 5 being INFI is a hoax, I'm the queen of England

My Bad guys, Didn't mean for anybody to be upset. It was all in the name of fun and interesting discussion.
If this is released in 154cm and INFI I will still buy at least one of each as the design is Gorgeous and the mudder handles are going to be uber comfortable. I wish I had an original SS4 but alas I do not. My wishful thinking would love for this to turn out to be done in INFI but I think like many it will turn out to be 154CM which means I will more than likely buy more of them at a lower price point. Then I can have one in the car one in the truck one by my bed one in the shop and one strapped to my Harley.

Peace Dogs

I also think it is a bit of a cheek to say the least "delving" into someone else's photobucket album without their permission....

However doing that AND then misrepresenting that photo by altering it....well that should lead to the moderators getting involved IMO....that sort of thing is a bit OTT...and I doubt Jerry will be happy if a number of HG55 LE orders get cancelled because people decide this knife IF in INFI is a much better prospect......and if it turns out to NOT be in INFI at all....and is not then bought.... then the family are simply losing money as a result....well that is'nt funny IMO and I doubt it would be in theirs. There is just as much need for "seller beware" in capitalism as there is for the buyer.

Dan and his brother make wacky shaped sharpened crowbars, and those of us in a very small segment of the population buy them. They taunt us with little bits of info over loooonnng periods of time before the product is available. We, meanwhile, speculate and simmer, and try to find out whatever else we can.

Busse plays their games, we play ours.

These are luxury items on this market, nobody (civilians that is, I'll make exceptions for the armed forces) NEEDS any of them. If one doesn't comfortably have the money (which sometimes I do and sometimes I don't, so I'm not passing judgement) then one shouldn't buy.

The rest is just details IMO.

Sorry Kelly. I simply don't believe you possess the Photoshopping skills to have produced the image I captured off of Dan's photobucket account. It's simply too good to be a fake.

Fakes come in all flavours and might not have been created by me.

It is easy to fool an old man, but if this is a fake, it's a good one. I say INFI! Why else would Dan obscure that part of the blade? 154CM is what I thought it was, which is ok with me, but why would he obscure that? There have only ever been two steels used by SY with mudder handles: INFI and 154CM. And why didn't he answer when asked if it was 154CM or SR77? Because it is neither!

Wow... Took a while to read all this stuff, I was too beat from my early morning raid to Knob yesterday to get on here much last night....

Reguardless of which steel is used the S5 will be a hit.

I wouldn't complain either way, INFI does sound cool though and will most likely make the S5 an instant Classic.

I saw the pic, looks real to me. Either way... doesn't really matter though.

Bring it Dan!

In alot of ways this reminds me of a best-of-both worlds combo of the BRKT Gameskeeper/Bravo 1. Which is fine by me, I really like the large choil/thumb ramp combo. Not that BRKT was at all what Dan/SY was going for, but that was the first thing that popped into my head.

INFI would be great, but I'd also like to be able to afford it without wincing. I'll have to explain it to the wife, after all. But I'll be buying regardless.
