The ONLY reason I'd buy an LE over a CG is if the LE turns out to be constructed of INFI. A 154CM LE would be a beautiful knife, no doubt. But compared to through-hardened SR101, it's no contest AFAIC.

Agreed. I'd be all over an INFI version. I'd probably also buy an SR101 version (or even an SR77 version). A 154CM version? I'll pass. There's nothing wrong with 154CM, but INFI, SR101, and SR77 are what put these companies on the map and what make these knives what they are.

i might have to buy a S5CG just bc its going to be the first DOG made of it... i wonder how thick it will be... is this going to be as thick as the S6 or will it be more like the yard keeper?

When all is said and done, it looks like there will be a fine knife for the dogs in the Yard. I think I will get one I love the idea of a 5 in SR-101, and with the mudder handel and a useable choil, it will be a dream.

And SR-101 is 52100 ball-bearing steel, great stuff, check it out.

Dan, sorry to hear the cat got out of the bag early. It does suck when you work on a surprise and it gets ruined.

Now, will have to get both since I need an example of both blades, a CG since it is SR101 and the LE because that is what I have examples of now. I passed my tan SOD to a friend that is a knife conisouer, he would not leave me alone LOL.

bottom line. if its sr77, sr101, or infi (busse kin steels) its going to be one kick [censored] knife. and i dont have one knife with mudder grips... what are the advantages of it over the DMCG grips and the normal res c grips on most other sy knives?

I don;t know what grips are on the CGDM, but I do have the res c. I can tell you that the mudders on my MUK has to be the gripper I have ever held. I hope to get a deer this season and then I will know for sure when there is blood all over the grip.
