Nice set up, Snakedoc. I have heard good things about those Silky saws, but have never used one.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

cool pics. very nice setup.
that ferro rod is HUGE.
what is it like 3 1/2 by 3/8 or something?
that saw does look nice too. I might have to get one.

That is a pretty cool set-up you have there. To me, it looks like you're going with the idea of a Spec-OPS survival sheath system. I like how you approached the idea with kydex and packcloth
Would you happen to have any pic with your system strapped on? Could you post some pics of that? I'd love to see the different ways you could don it!

Thanks for the coments. The saw is great, it is a Pocket Boy with large teeth, makes short work of most tasks. cool pics. very nice setup.

that saw does look nice too. I might have to get one. It is pretty big! On one of our get togethers I was having some trouble getting a fire started with a LMF Army model firesteel so one of the other guys gave me this honker! It works great, and has been used a lot since I got it.

You can find more on the design at River-8's home page found here. http://www.riverside-graphics.net/SARgear.htmlThe rig can be worn low like in the pic or it can be worn high by runing a belt thru the suspension system where the brass ring is.
