I posted these over on BF but think they should be here as well.

Piggyback pouch sheath by River-8. My SoD landed on Christmas Eve and the madness began. I started to collect materials for the sheath, Tan 430 Deniar packcloth, tan kydex and a tan Izula from RAT Cutlery. Delivered the whole mess to River-8 on one of our Sunday koffee klatch get togethers and two weeks later was given the finished product. Questions and coments welcome.

Nice set up, Snakedoc. I have heard good things about those Silky saws, but have never used one.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

That is a pretty cool set-up you have there. To me, it looks like you're going with the idea of a Spec-OPS survival sheath system. I like how you approached the idea with kydex and packcloth <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

Would you happen to have any pic with your system strapped on? Could you post some pics of that? I'd love to see the different ways you could don it!

Thanks for the coments. The saw is great, it is a Pocket Boy with large teeth, makes short work of most tasks.

It is pretty big! On one of our get togethers I was having some trouble getting a fire started with a LMF Army model firesteel so one of the other guys gave me this honker! It works great, and has been used a lot since I got it.

This is the only pic I have now of it being worn.

You can find more on the design at River-8's home page found here.
http://www.riverside-graphics.net/SARgear.html

The rig can be worn low like in the pic or it can be worn high by runing a belt thru the suspension system where the brass ring is.

Good setup, I plan on making something similar with my SOD and Izula.
