Another option, with the handle and blade MATERIALS that are best on both knives, is the REGULATOR... but you'll have to be patient to score that one

You won't go wrong with either. I have all three that have been mentioned (Tramp, CW, SoD) and the Tramp is my current user of choice.

Appreciate the great responses. Now I've got to get three knives. For now though, I think it will be the Chopweiler.
Thank you all, Mark

My Chopweiler is the only knife that I have ever got in a certain size and been so happy with it that I have not wanted a different blade in the same size....if that makes sense !!!!! ![[Linked Image from i129.photobucket.com]](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p236/denaleeguy/PICT5142.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i129.photobucket.com]](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p236/denaleeguy/PICT5140.jpg) Check out the wear on the coating, the blade has still never been sharpened and will still shave hair !!!!!! ![[Linked Image from i129.photobucket.com]](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p236/denaleeguy/PICT5139.jpg) Beating it good ! ![[Linked Image from i129.photobucket.com]](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p236/denaleeguy/PC190008.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i129.photobucket.com]](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p236/denaleeguy/PC190013.jpg) How many big knives can make fuzzy's like this ! ![[Linked Image from i129.photobucket.com]](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p236/denaleeguy/PC190016.jpg)

If you have both...put'em to the test. I have a Ratweiler that I love , a MiniMojo that will be at my side in SAR missions....but when I deploy to the great sandbox across the water , my SoD will be going postal with me..... Yeah no doubt the SR101 is great...but pound for pound , dollar for dollar , Scrapyard doesn't just bark.....it eats the competition.

I haven't handled the chopweiler, but I LOVE my SOD! It's a practically a mini DF, how cool is that.
And my from experience SR-77, will hold almost a good of an edge as INFI after a lot of chopping.

One of the best things about going to a show like Blade or Knob Creek is that you can pick things up before deciding whether or not to buy them. Personally, I hated the handle shape of the Chopweiler -- the way that the top falls as it approaches the blade simply didn't feel right in my hand. Some people love CW handles the way I love RMD handles, but my vote is for the SoD, or if you're willing to spend a bit more, then "Go FSH".

I vote if you can get an orginal Ratwiler get one but I would take the SOD over the Chopwiler, it has amore forgiving handle.

Really? As good as SR101 held an edge in the Waki video? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> In waki the video, they chop with the front of the blade and slice the paper near the choil to the middle of the blade. Next time we have a chopfest, I'll make a video (with SOD or DF) of me going through some sections of a 2x4 and slicing some paper.
