glad all worked out well and you and your family are safe.for your sake im also glad you didnt have to shoot him.not that you would've been charged with anything,i can just imagine it would be a big head ache with reports and all.

sounds like a real scumbag and a danger.punk kids are one thing but when a man that age acts like that its more dangerous imo.a desperate man is even more dangerous.sounds like you 3 handles the situation perfectly and serves as another example of why we cherish our 2nd amendment rights and why the right to pistols and the right to carry are also so important along with just having the desire to carry.some people live in la la land, believe nothing bad will ever happen to them and stay in denial about the evils in the world.

sounds dumb as a rock too, that guy.glad your all safe and keep us informed on his sentencing if you find that out when the time comes.

I got some more info on him today. His name is Toby Carroll. Here's his record & sentence info. He lives close enough I’ve walked to the area. He has multiple charges for drugs, theft, & burglary. His most recent burglary charge he was sentenced to 20 years in 2003, yet he got out in 2007. Had he served his full sentence, we wouldn’t have had this little problem. So, it appears he’s a career criminal. Perhaps he should seek a new profession. It appears he’s not very good at it…

Dang, that stinks. Sentenced to 20 and served only 4.5. I'm glad he turned out not to be violent. I'm guessing your house is no longer on his "to-do" list. Great job, Andy. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

WAY COOL that you got his name! here in Canada we "citizens" are not permitted to find out such info, although the Police usually tell us regardless....

I bet nobody gives Andy any grief about all that gear he carries in his pockets now. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Hee Hee…You know what happens to a paranoid guy? Not much…lol. (Cause he’s prepared)

Will do. Oh, BTW...the paper said "no bond" for him. I'm guessing because it's for the same crime...again.

It better not be. I know where he lives now. Lol. It'd serve him right if I broke in his house while he was in jail and stole all his stuff so he could see how it feels! Ha ha.

Andy - I would not let your guard down, in case he has family or friends who might seek revenge or try to intimidate you. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> Losers like him usually hang with other losers. If possible, beef up your security and keep in touch with the police regarding the idiot - sentence, eventual release, etc. But you probably have already thought about that. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> All the Yard is proud of you! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Well done Andy, and I'm glad that you and your folks are OK! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> You showed remarkable restraint in handling the situation, and did NOT provide the idiot's lawyer with something to use as a defense or to sue you with. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

You should send your story into the NRA; they most likely would put it in their "Armed Citizen" article in their magazines. It REALLY illustrates the importance of the 2nd Amendment, as well as how to handle a similar situation. They can also help with other important information and suggestions.

Again, well done!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> Tom

I agree, I am not sure I could have shown the restraint you did. I am so glad you and the family are ok

Dan

Glad you were armed when you got home. Being well prepared and organized is not just an expensive hobby. It can save lives.

Good Show, Man!
