There's a mac version. That's what I'm using it on. Seems to be pretty straight forward and there's a lot of community support. Progrms that cost a lot more wouldnt even run on my older computer and this one didn't even hiccup. Looks good... Should be a helpful tool. what more does it offer over audacity? that was pretty buggy for me, but garage band is quite bloated so it's nice to have a light running multitrack. if the windows version is light, then i'll definitely load it on the netbook.

Leagues beyond audacity. I only use audacity for the most basic stuff. As basic as audacity is it's Interface is it's still clunky. The editig in Reaper seems to be decent without the overkill of a program like Logic. They also don't use any proprietary crap (like garage band or protools) which means you can toss anything at like different VST's. It works with most audio interfaces and you can try some different free plugins. I was synced up and tracking after around 10 minutes. Was really impressed that it synced up with a hitch.
