Hello All,

It has been a while, but I do check in everyday. I just can't seem to get things under control. I however was able to get some new blades, one I got last September but never posted a pic.

My Hudson knife from ML Knives. Pitman knows the quality of this maker and all I can say is that he goes above and beyond! I already chopped with it last week through old, dry wood - as old as me in fact and it went through without problems and quickly. No pic's though.

Specs: 8 1/8" long and is about a hair over 1 5/8" wide at the widest point, 3/16th thick and about 13" overall. The handle is black walnut and pins are brass.

Compared to a well used old friend.

Jeff White Nessie, bought last September:

Went to a rendezvous yesterday and picked up this tin and fatwood. This is my new kit, which I am getting better at using the flint and steel.

My father used this pocket knife in Vietnam. It is a Queen's Cutlery, which i had admired since I was a child. He used it for everything along with a fixed blade. He decided to give it to me last week as he no longer uses it. He said at least I will use it, he is right.

Thanks again! I whish I logged i n more often as I miss the discussions. I have tons of pic's and will hopefully get around to posting.

Thanks,

Dan

Howdy...those Jeff White Muk's are a nice score at around $20.00. I've got one myself although your handle looks much nicer..

Dan, nice blades and it is really good to hear from you! BTW, great deal on the pocket knife with history.

Hello, Dan. Long time no see. So you are still on the mountain man kick, eh? I have a few in that genre from BRKT: the Hudson Bay, Mountain Man, and dag. Quite different from the Busse kin knives, but still fun to collect and use.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Hey Vic, How are you? They are great knives to use. There is something to be said for knives made in traditional fasion and to go out and do things in a simple, less modern way. I hope to make a sheath for it tomorrow and get more use out of it on Tuesday.

I am busy getting ready for school to start. I just have one more girl to get through High School. I like the traditional knives, too. I use my Green River in the kitchen every day.
