I like the more compact socom, but personally don't need all the rails on the socom II.  adds alot of weight.

I agree on the SOCOM II rail.  All I need is enough space for a light and side sling mount.

The socom 16 is perfect.....16 inch barrel and not heavy rail system...

Brother has a norinco, heavy rifle. I much prefer a good bolt action  Thinking about one of those myself, they gotem at crappy tire for $600 I think. Hound
