It is always nice to hear about others experience with the Yard. I have the utmost faith in this company and know in my heart that if I was to ever have a issue it would be dealt with fast and fair. SY and the the Busse group are incredible to deal with and are held in the highest of regards in the industry.

I love the Bussekin family because of things like this. I too have got great treatment from the people at SY, SR, and Busse. Why else would I be spending all my free money with them????

Men you can't trust, women you can't trust, beasts you can't trust, but Bussekin steel you can trust

Good to hear, pretty much expected from the Bussekin. It's nice to know there are still some folks out there who understand customer service.

Glad it was taken care, although I'm not surprised because Scrap Yard has exceptional customer service. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

On another note, a knife is made to cut, slice, chop, etc. It should be sharp out the factory, but as many of us know that isn't always the case. A knife is your tool, and it's up to you maintain it. What happens when it dulls from constant use? You can't always rely on somebody else to sharpen it. Try and make the effort to learn, there's a ton of info here and on the web.

are there any other inspectors other than 86? I think that's who has inspected every knife i've ever gotten. Dan, Renee and the crew take care of their own.
Maybe 86 is code like 2 weeks <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

MRpink-I agree that a knife (especially a top end knife) should come from the factory sharp, and I also agree its my responsiblity to MAINTAIN it after I recieve it. Thanks for the advice...Im always willing to learn more, but Im pretty comfortable with putting an edge on a knife. Just touched up the new S5LE after field dressing a deer, and cutting up an elk.
Thanks again to the Scrap Yard crew for standing behind your products.

Take care.
