Sorry to hear about your bent tip. Surely they will warranty it.

Too bad about your knife although it might not be the best idea to post about it in the Yard. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Let's hope that Ontario lives up to the reputation that Justin established when he ran Ranger Knives. Justin's the man. I'd confidently say Justin's warranty is up there with Busse's.

We are going to continue to disagree about that. Your tests are what they are and the results are what they are. I've never seen you do anything to a knife that the knife shouldn't have been able to take. You are NOT noss!!!

The most impressive outcome of what happened in the case we're referring to is that the knife was replaced right away. No one at the manufacturer questioned whether the damage was intentional. And neither, my friend, should you.

The only thing stronger than Busse knives is the Busse warranty! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

i gotta agree with bruce. until that point everyone thought that anything transverse wave tempered was indestructible, so it was bound to happen to someone.

the mora did make it through the same test if anyone forgot.

Sorry to hear about your knife JT. I'm not sure what Ontarios warranty is but sounds like you are pursuing it correctly. I just received a limited edition knife from Justin himself (hand-made #13 of 25) and it is very nice. I know Justin has handed over production of his large scale production knives to Ontario but I think the warranty should cover this. Good luck!

Thanks for all the support guys. I should hear something from them via email tomorrow. I am glad I didnt have this kind of failure at a time when failure was not an option. I guess I had better stick with what I know wont fail, Busse-kin. After I got my first Busse, I dont even hardly look at other makers. I am sure their are others that are great, but I have not found one with the great culture surrounding their products the way Busse has built.

Good luck JT! I know that Justin would make it right, and I believe that Ontario will as well. Having said that, I agree with sticking with a proven company like the Busse Group! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
