Given the price per bottle of Johnny Walker Blue, i question whether it is involved in the SY knives.. You could but almost 3 DMs for the price of one bottle!

at 220 plus for a bottle of JWB, you'd have change left over after 3 DM's. Ah, the stuff dreams are made of, sigh, I cant even afford Southern Comfort! lol!

Now, wheres that bottle of Pigs Nose......

I've had #13 and #11 for both Scrapyard and Busse's. In my limited experience #11 knives are perfect and #13 is a little less stringent in fit and finish.

BTW - I'm at a McDonald's using their HotSpot. I still have no internet connection at the new place. They forgot their wireless stopped working three weeks ago. I'm going through withdrawls.

Did the origional batch of S6's have an inspector number?

Some time in late 2006 or early 2007 Busse and Swamp Rat started using the cardboard sleeve with an inspection sticker.

Before that they came wrapped in a cardboard sheath taped together from pieces of priority mail envelopes.

I think my Muddy Mojo had the old school cardboard but my FBM had the sleeve.

My Swamp Rat M6 has the old school cardboard but my HRLM had the sleeve.

The amazing thing about Scrap Yard is that they are getting knives on the market pretty fast. My first Swamp Rat took months to arrive. By the time it did, the rest of the old line was discontinued. I still got a few Swamp Rats in ganzas but I certainly would have bought more if I had known how good they were.

I think Scrap Yard might have it's own building and staff on the Busse compound. Otherwise, I can't see how they could consistently bring so many knives to the market.

Arf arf arf... That's my other dog impression.

Dan is a man of few words..
but we would follow him to the ends of the Interweb for his steel.

i've had several knives with the #13 sticker.
my DF came with a triangle piece of paper.
i've heard of folks getting bottle caps from BCS..

Did someone mention bottle caps? These mystical and never really seen items reportedly delivered occasionally with certain orders from the BCS. I think by inspector #13. The rumor continues, however I'm hoping Dan will produce and tease us with a Scrap Yard bottlecap.

my dm came inspected by #11. that's an interesting question about where the blades are made. we know that they're birthed right here in the u.s., but in ohio or texas?

either way, the dm is an extremely well thought out and put together knife.

Smart money's on Ohio, swizzle. And yes, where the made isn't nearly as important as THAT they're made!

Never forget that I get everything, but the Post Office boxes, from the dumpster.
