No argueing we have lost a bunch of dispatchers recently. They are putting the ones that usually run fire and EMS on our channels to backfill. They are missing a lot of calls from officers and getting locations/deatils wrong etc. I have gotten an earful from my guys. Officer safety issues.
I don't tolerate arguements over the radio. Thats a big no-no here.
Yeah, we don't allow that either, not over the air. But I've been known to call their cells and let them know what they did wrong.
The fire and EMS guys, bless them, aren't used to constant traffic and have a hard time keeping up. We're getting ready to consolidate here, and I dread having to teach them that the officers come first.
