Todd, If you have something to pull it with, you might also consider a trailer of some sort. Heck, a Teardrop trailer would be GREAT!

Keep in mind that it's possible to travel for very little money. You can camp, eat inexpensive foods that you bring and prepare for yourself, and so on. You don't even need to pay for campsites; there are national forests, logging roads, etc., where you can camp for free, all over the place. If it were just me this wouldn't be a problem.

I've got an Explorer, and I've spent more than one night in the back of it. I could spend a night or two in it, then a motel to shower and really relax, then repeat. If there are two drivers, one sleep while the other drive, at least on the way out.
