Paul the Brit', #3 Grey and tan scales.. I may try boiled linseed oil on the handle, it works very well on wood- unless anyone has a better plan? Paul, i've used Birchwood Casey Tru-Oil on a wood-handled knife. It's a linseed oil mixture, pretty easy to use, dries clear varnish-like, ~$4 from walmart. Haven't used it on micarta though!
Congrats jmosh! You're brave! i gotta Hide my stuff from the wife! LOL Like you.. i am wanting Good stuff now.. i've had plenty of junk knives & guns.. no more of that crap, no thanks.
I am with you there! I have enough cheap knives, I hope to throw them in a shoebox at a yardsale this spring. Guns, well I am lucky there. Really though, I have found a cheap knife is not worth it, in fact its not really a knife, it just plays one on tv. Re: the wife, she read the post about women being able to distinguish between knives...well now she is really paying attention. Fortunately she shares my philospohy about buying decent stuff, for now anyway. We will see, I hope to have a zoo here, a Hog, a Dog, and a Rat!
Knives, because we were born without claws!

Tan/Snakeskin, Tigerhide/Satin.
Haven't pulled the trigger on the magnum G-10/tan...but the temptation is strong....must...resist! You know you want one with big fat handles, Kraz! That's the problem! I do! I do!

I do! What has really got me this year is all the releases of Busse-made blades came out in rapid succession. I am impressed with all of them! Something about the Badger Attack just looks right to me. Had I known Busse was gonna let some FBMs out, I would have gotten one with the magnum scales, but I didn't even know they existed when I got the Busse on ebay. And the little HRLM, well I missed the SS4, so I got it. The only "deal" I have gotten is the Dumpster Mutt. But all these are Quality knives. I went from no Busse-mades to six in less than two months!
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

It's a deluge of steel alright H-D. What a wonderful problem...except for the credit card part.
And you're exactly right, all the choices have been fabulous. There hasn't been anything so far that I thought "I'll just skip that model".
I wonder if you can put knives into an annuity to protect them from creditors...hmmm.

So, back to the original question.... If I understand it now, there is absolutely no communication between the purchaser and busse? You order, and eventually some months dowm the road the box just comes, no emails to tell you it shipped, absolutely no notification?

I ordered a black blade with tan Mag scales a few days after they went up.... Can't wait to get it.
I'm thinking about ordering another one with a tan blade and snakeskin or Tan on Tan.
The wait continues....

rooikat, So, back to the original question.... If I understand it now, there is absolutely no communication between the purchaser and busse? You order, and eventually some months dowm the road the box just comes, no emails to tell you it shipped, absolutely no notification? well you can phone your order in if it makes you feel better. ..talk to one of the ladies, or the janitor, or sometimes Jerry himself i hear! BusseCombat website has the phone #. I ordered thru website.. got an e-mail order confirmation.. but couple months ago.. i telephoned to upgrade to magnum scales and change my blade's color (want it to match a new outfit ) ladies are very friendly on the phone, easy painless, done. so far.. CC hasn't been dinged.. but from chatter on BF.. i hear they *may* ship next month or so? i hear this Wait is the worst! but luckily i have some rats/scrappers & a pile of wood to play with in the meantime I mean.. you've ordered from ScrapYard & SwampRat before right? Busse's been at it longer than That! You need a push? just say it bro.. we'll shove you

Basically it strikes me the Badger is the edc we all need.. I know I hate micarta but that little knife just has to be got at factory price; rather than after market rip-off price, don't dither BUY BUY BUY! (you'll only kick yourself later if you don't)
Thank you, normal service will now be resumed..
Micarta sucks!

That was my "justification" to myself. Got no wife to say no. I am getting a Badger Attack (love that name) with magnum scales. I called Busse today, since I received no email confirmation of my order. The lady had it all together. She said they would ship in three to five weeks, and that my credit card would not be hit until 10 days prior to shipping.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
