I ordered a dogfather sheath a few days ago and am wondering if it takes a few weeks to be shipped like the knives or do they ship right away since they dont have to make any?

Sneaky, I would guess that the sheath should ship pretty quickly as they will want to get as much done as possible before Blade. You could always send a PM or e-mail to Renee to find out for sure. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Hmmm...guess I should have thought to check the online store for a sheath for the DF. Sneaky, did you go with kydex or cordura? Gotta figure out one for myself here.

Hope I'm not hijacking here, but is there any particular benefit to the kydex sheath aside from being more expensive (is that really a benefit?)

I went with the cordura sheath.
The belt loop on the kydex is too low so the handle sticks into my side,
and I want the handle to not be damaged from taking it in and out of the kydex.
Ireash did they send you an e-mail with tracking # or anything?
Cause I ordered it apr 29 and only got the paypal reciept e-mailed to me.

Relax Sneaky,it'll be there before you know it.
I got mine in 3 or 4 days.It fits the BWM also.
+1 on the cordura.Way more versatile than the kydex. When I ordered mine there were no knives in the store, now there are,so they are busier.

I think they are waiting for a new batch of cordura. Renee told me they would be 2 weeks out.

I like the cordura as well. I have a Jared kydex for my weiner and I DO like kydex but I got something in the sheath and got some longitudinal(?) scratches on the blade. No Biggie as it's a user, but still. I think the cordura with the inserts won't be as prone to scratch.
