This is gonna sound dumb, but then again maybe not, but you ever seen snow Jared?

Ha, most of the people HERE haven't seen snow in person. We can see it on the mountains in the distance, but it never snows here. It was 28 degrees today though. That is really, really cold for us.

I did live in the midwest so I am aware of snow. I moved back to California after it was -35*F with a -65*F wind chill for a week. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/chill.gif" alt="" />

No chains, no studs other than the driver <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />, good reason to stay at home unless you just HAVE to go out.

I Gather you were NOT driving then. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

nice... We apparently got two more feet of snow while I was gone and are due for another 5-6 coming up
Going back on my folder idea, I don't know much about SR-77 as a steel outside of knives, but a solid SR-77 folder (SR-77 frame & blade) would be nice to see (assuming SR-77 is good for the framelock application

Mok, being a carbon steel I am sure it would work for a frame lock, but my thinking is that it would be VERY heavy. Titanium frame in my opinion would be better.

yeah, I guess that is one factor I didn't take into account. Let's go Titanium/SR-77, Near as I can tell, Lionsteel does some really solid work. ESEE solved the problem of folder parts coordination by collaborating with Lionsteel, maybe Dan and the folks could do the same. Draw up a rough design, talk with the Lionsteel folks, have them make the frames and Dan makes the blades...

Never happen. Dan wouldn't be able to deliver the goods at a reasonable price to performance ratio, plus it would be more of a headache than it would be worth in the long run.

I'd be much happier if the Yard sticks to delivering tough knives at a reasonable price, and gave us a few more offerings a year. I'd love a chance at some older pieces, such as the Mud Puppy and the SS4, plus some new ideas as well.
