I like the Condor product lines. Nice designs, very decent sheaths, with good fit and finish. Kinda the high end of the low end but that's just fine for many uses. They seem like a very good value. Looking forward to zee chop off.
If you ever get an invitation to the famous Bobbit International chop off I suggest you decline. I'll pass on that "chop off". It should be fun to pit CS 1055 blades against Condor's 420 HC, and Ontario's 1095. I am so grateful and pleased that Dan allows us to show other knives on this forum. It just shows me that he has utmost confidence in Scrap Yard Knives. I must admit, they have more than measured up to my standards of performance and at a fair price as well. I don't think SYKCO is going into the machete business any time soon. SYKCO knives are Busses for value-minded folks. But if he could just make a kukri, an axe, or a gladius....just dreaming again. The machete chop off! Yes! I still haven't recevied my Kopis or Barong yet Vic. End of the month is coming up though

Just checked the link, the combat axe is gorgeous!! The other stuff looks pretty handy too, especially the modified bill hook knife.

Ranger Knives are a great value. Their steel seems plenty tough. For micarta handled field knives, Ranger is a hard deal to beat. I really prefer Res C in the big chopping blades, though.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Bld522, nothing much competes with Dan's knives! (Bar Ranger from what you guys say!). A D2 Mutt shaker is long overdue..

Everytime we went out and I pulled one of my knives the people always wanted to use it instead of their own pangas. They wanted to trade for them but when I told them how much the cost (in Kenya Shillings)... Well lets just say the looks on their faces were priceless. Those knives would have fed their families for a very long time. I’d be afraid to tell them the value in case they decided to rob you of it or something.

I like how Condor is always looking to improve their products. I prefer carbon steel and thicker blades but that has more to do with the type of foliage in my area. I found it sad the way the guy from Condor was treated on BF when he was looking for honest feedback.
