Vance - my gunsmith told me that the graphite trigger thats on it was ideal for duty use. I thought the same thing - I was going to go w/ a skeleton trigger just for looks, but I think I'm going to hold off for now - unless you know of a specific trigger that I should look in to. ?

Nice grips, Diceman. Never thought of micarta for pistol grips, but it makes sense.

Jerry (Busse) was selling some snakeskin micarta grips a while back. And there was a colaboration between him and Les Baer for a matching knife and .45

That would be an awesome set. OD green would be a much better color though!

It was quite a nice set. I think it was something like $3000-$4000 though...

I agree. I think they did desert because of the military.

Oooo…nice. Ever wear ‘em about town together? Now you need a matching sheath and holster set. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Not town.....afraid I would get shot on general principle of suspicion! But a matching holster set would be very nice!

I have two sets of Busse Micarta and a set of ivory grips also.

Now I just need a decent 1911 to put them on.

It's hard to find in CA, the stupid drop test has made almost every one put series 80 garbage on their 1911's and you can't even buy a bare frame to build one up.

I might have to buy an old Colt and have it tuned and refinished for $$$.

Arf arf arf... That's my other dog impression.
