Update to two Airmen being killed and two injured.
The 21-year-old Kosovar Arid Uka carried out the attack on Wednesday "because he wanted to take revenge for the US intervention in Afghanistan," federal prosecutor Rainer Griesbaum told reporters.
The suspect has said that the day before the attack he watched a video on the internet purporting to show US atrocities in Afghanistan, Griesbaum said.
The shooter "saw a video on the internet portal YouTube the day before the act," Griesbaum said. "In this video, American soldiers apparently raided a Muslim house and raped the daughter of the family," he added.
"He could not get the pictures out of his head and wanted with his actions to prevent American soldiers going to Afghanistan and carrying out such acts," added the prosecutor.
Griesbaum also said there was no evidence to link Uka to any international extremist group like al-Qaida, German prosecutors said Friday.
"There is currently no evidence to suggest membership to an international terrorist organization," he said.

I've always heard the German people were real sticklers for the rules. Never realized just how much, I guess. Hope you get it back JJ.

This war truly has no front lines. It really is a worldwide war, isn't it?

Only a society this disciplined could have accomplished what they did in WWII when so outnumbered. Crossing the French border is a culture shock. I have picked up the German habits. I don't want to be the American Jack A.. crossing the street on a red light with a bunch of Germans patiently waiting for the light. Last time I was in France, I was the only one waiting for the light. That wore off in few hours of being a pedestrian there.

Like it or not, and NO SANE person would like it, it is nothing more than THE RADICALS of one "Religion" against ALL those that are not like them. AND it IS WORLDWIDE, AND WELL GET EVEN WORSE! Yes, I DID use the word Radicals, because it IS the radicals of world that are keeping this alive. The regular citizens of the world, may not agree with another religion, but they also DO NOT believe in attacking them by anything other than words. This is as it should be.

Just finished a test with the solar panel and four bdead batteries are now fully charged in less than 2 hours. I am impressed with this thing. Happy I upgraded from a 5w to a 10w.

Religions in general scare me. JJ, is it actually the religions or just those that choose to interperet it however they choose. Personally I think religions are a good thing, IF they are followed, meaning practicing peace and non violence, kind of a Rodney King mindset, Can't we all just get along. Sadly the answer is no.
