My step dad moved me into the "insulation" division. This basically meant I was the guy stuffing bails of ground up newspaper into a big blower bin mounted in the bed of an old Chevy truck. By the end of the day (summer time) I looked like a paper mache person because the fine paper stuck to my sweat Too funny, that had to be hot work | | |

Congrats, looks like you are the first listed. I will let Renee know that you get the $25 shop credit to use on anything ScrapYard sells Dan Sweet! Thanks, Dan! I hit submit without waiting because I knew it would be a battle...just got done with my job history (took awhile to type it out)

My first job was working on a turkey farm. Had to help feed and water the birds, clean the houses when they were done, and everything in between. Got to drive trucks and tractors too, which was fun for a while. I was 13 when I started there. I dated a girl whos father had turkeys...like 10,000 of them. I never got used to that smell when she had to feed and water them To this day, and I'm 43 years old, I won't touch turkey meat. At Thanksgiving we cook a ham.

Turkey farms can smell pretty rough! There's a few of them around here.

I worked in a "family style" restaurant while in High School. After seeing the uneaten "family style" dishes come back into the kitchen, and get "recycled" (ie - dumped back into the corn, green beans, mash potatoes, fried chicken, etc) I swore off eating out for a long time.

It was money, and at 13 $2.75 an hour was a lot of money. I made $25-30 a week during the school year and $100 or so a week during the summers. I was quite happy.
