I got this little pouch here and am amazed at the amount of gear I can fit into it.
I had to take my poormans dangler off & make a new drop leg belt loop, because it flopped around too much with the pouch on.
Now it rides nice,& will give me piece of mind when stomping around my woods when I don't want to carry a backpack on the hot summer days.
I can easly take it off to throw into a pack if I want/need to carry more gear or clothing. The 2 back straps have heavy snaps making it easy to get on & off.

I moved the warden to the back to accommodate the pouch,I can still get to it just fine don't worry.

There's 3 main pockets for gear.The rear zippered pocket holds my KEL-TEK P32,a firstaid kit & 2- 1gal.+1-1qt.ziplok bags.

The front zippered pocket on the flap holds a spare mag for the P32 & a swisstec tool.I threw in the swisstec to have some pliers.I'll probably ditch it & the SAK for a multitool soon.
I want something lighter than my Wave & the swisstec is redundant in the screw driver department with the SAK in the other pocket.

The front bellows pocket holds my A.T. fire kit,a Maratac AAA,spare battery,SAK,100&400grit sandpaper, emergency blanket, water purification tabs & some paracord. It has a bungee cord going across with a cord lock to sinch up & it really holds the contents in tight.

The contents of the tin..fatwood,rubber strips/bands,magnesium firestarter,misch metal rod,classic sak,a small med.diamond hone & some waxed paper.

This is a nice rugged, well made little pouch & I'm going to get another to kit up & keep in my truck.

Does anyone know how long the Trioxane Solid Fuel Tablets burn? The wet tinders are supposed to burn for 12 minutes. I used you link Myke and then went on to the water bottle carrier with additional pouch then the volcano stove and one thing led to another.

Thanks dogs.
Randy,it's an ArmaLaser instant-on laser.
It activates with the touch of the finger inside the trigger guard.
With the lousy sights on the KT the laser makes shot placement much easier.

I thought it was probably a laser but wasn't really sure. I can see one on something that small being a REAL advantage.

Triox burns like crazy, and will stay lit when getting rained on. If it gets dunked, I don't expect if will stay lit, but should hold up under a decent flow, as long as it gets oxygen. A full mil-spec pouchful will burn on it's own for more than an hour, and you'll likely only need a teeny corner to start a fire. It will eventually evap out, but if you store the leftovers in a sealed container, it'll stay effective indefinitely. I love the stuff, need to track down some more.

Thanks El. I was looking on county comm at some fire gel they got. BUT thought it would be kind of messy if all you wanted was some to help start a fire.

My uncle uses a gel, probably like what you mentioned, it works pretty well and actually isn't very fluid, it's more like toothpaste. I personally am not fond of it, because once it's down, it's staying put, but it works. IMO, I'd rather be able to pick up and move it if I need to reposition it. One good thing about the gel, you can coat the tip of a small stick and use it like a match.

An empty tuna type can with a few air holes poked in it, along with some Trioxane tabs makes a great little cooking stove. That's what we used in VietNam. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
