Under $150? That makes this a bit harder. Probably one of these.... Randy,
This is a great thread idea. Everyone is clamouring for a Yard Folder (which is unlikely) so question is perfect - what OTHER hard use folders (in Bussekin price ranges) do the dogs recommend.
Your thread will be helpful to me, because I'm very inexperienced with "good" folders! I'll have to google 90% of what people recommend, but hopefully I'll find something that I "can't live without".
On Topic - the only folder I currently carry is a Spyderco Delica4. This knife is NOT something I would consider built for hard-use. Its fine for cutting open packages, and similar, but it isn't constructed for TEOTWAWKI use!
Tom - Can you be a little more specific? I'm assuming your CS Voyager was a turd?
HD - That sounds like an interesting story.... Gary - quite the contrary -- the C.S. Voyager X2 has been a great folder for me!

You know the ZT 0350 is a BRUTE of a knife and comes in under 100 bucks. I have a few of them and would bet my life on them any day.

![[Linked Image from i789.photobucket.com]](http://i789.photobucket.com/albums/yy174/seattleduke/DailyCarry.jpg) ZT 350! It is a little heavy and I will sometimes carry other folders but the ZT 350 is with me most days.

How's the liner on the 350? I was using my Kershaw Rake all week and while the ergos are real nice, the thin liner has me down on liner locks for the moment. light smack to the spine and it disengages everytime.

Hey, maybe we could do a group buy, The "Junk Yard Doomsday Device"! But wait, if you act in the next 30 minutes, only $39.95! With FREE shipping and handling charges.
And as a special introductory offer, order TWO for only $80.99! Just pay separate shipping and handling!
I added this because it DOES meet the criteria, except for the price I am sure! With a blade that's 3/16 inch thick you could build a cabin with that thing. And who would need a hammer with a handle like that!

Right now it would be my Buck Strider ATS34 with BOSS heat treat. I also just got the DPX/HEST production model in and will play with it more before I make a yeah or nay. I DO know the Buck Strider is a badd mofo as I have used it for many years.

Well, at $175, the DPx HEST folder is a little over the price range, but it's about as rugged as they get. The one I have now operates well. My first one really sucked. Meet my new assistant knife reviewer, Susan. ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/RAT/Park006.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/RAT/Park008.jpg)
