Looking through my photobucket album found some pics of an overnight hike I did thought the Yard might enjoy:

Lake I was hiking around

A safer part of the trail. It got more dangerous...

Loaded up.

You can see how narrow the path is here

I was in quite a lot of fear about icicles dropping on me and killing me!

[Linked Image from i1185.photobucket.com]
Looking off the edge - probably 50-70ft feet drop

One of the many avalanche run-offs I had to cross

Another

I survived!

Tent for the night

Drying my clothes on a hap hazard line - I was dog tired at this point but knew I had to dry my clothes and eat:

Gnocchi with homemade dried pasta sauce

The next day I found this sign!
It reads
"Walking path closed due to avalanche risk and falling stone risk"

Time to head back - originally had planned two nights but if it was set to get worse well...quit when you are ahead!

I will post further adventures in this thread

Thank you for the Pics LR. I sure would have had the pucker factor going if It was me hiking that trail. IN THE WINTER! This OLD man is to comfort minded for that! Now if a Helo could have flown me in, to a nice pre-warmed cabin, YooHoo!

Ok, I'm guessing you are in Switzerland. Your vocabulary suggests you are American. PM inbound.
