Differential heat treat or thru-hardened blades on the SR101 511's?

Thanks Dan!

Could someone explain a slightly convex edge? I this looks nice though!

Instead of a pure flat grind I put a small degree of convex in the blade to add incremental strength. It contributes to increasing the performance to price ratio of the knife.

Does this help?

Dan
Yah I understand makes sense! One more question Does this mean the edge itself is convex or still a V edge? Thanks big dog.

The edge is a V since the convex is slight

Dan

Excellent! I was hoping the edge was a V - much easier to sharpen in the field (and I've found them to be more durable).

Will the 6" Kydex sheath available at the store fit the SYKCO? There's also a standard 6" sheath, would that also fit?

I mean the blade is only 5.5"... I'm ordering it to be sent to South Africa and to find guys here to manufacture a sheath is almost impossible, unless I drive to the other side of the country...

I was wondering this too.

I was hoping to find a bundle option- all of the 11's for a group price. guess not.

Looks fairly similar to the (presently unavailable) Ratmandu, looks like a great value.

I like the old blade logo with the dog's head better
