I just received a package from the yard and can't wait to get into it. First let me say a Big Thanks to Renee who I contacted about getting a couple of scrap yard knives recoated and as always she comes through with the goods. I have a scrapper 6 and a SOD that I got on the secondary market and both had been stripped of their coating, they both looked good but I really like the coating on the SY knives and had to check about getting them redone in the original black finish. I think the yard did a fantastic job and they look as good as an original and they even put the logos back on, I didn't take pictures of the SOD before refinishing because I sent it out as soon as I received it but you'll see the difference in the scrapper 6 and as they always say "Without pictures this thread is useless" here they are. I couldn't be happier Sorry about the picture quality. S6 before S6 after SOD after ![[Linked Image from img849.imageshack.us]](http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/6104/sodlf.jpg) The combo ![[Linked Image from img163.imageshack.us]](http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/5048/comboj.jpg)

Those look real nice. Sounds like Scrapyard is a real pleasure to deal with. Basically, the golden rule. The more I read, the larger my wish list gets. I had to look up the Scrapper 6 as it keeps popping up in my reading. Apparently a heck of a blade. Now I'm starting to regret joining the forum! Thanks for sharing...even though it will cost me money

And did they take the handle off and recoat the tang too?

And did they take the handle off and recoat the tang too? They will only recoat the blade in the original color and I'm not sure if they take the handle off but I suspect they don't coat under the handle at all.
