911 just because I have never had a big chopper, and I would HATE to have to buy an ESEE Junglas for the summer.

Ok, how about the Patriotic angle.

Since I am now DogFatherless, PATRIOTICALLY sacrificing my Dogfather to one who IS serving, I now find the largest chopper I have is the SOD. A good chopper as we know, but still..... A 911 would be ALMOST as good as having a DF. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

And seeing as the 7-11 price correction bumped it up to where I was hoping the 9-11 was going to be I hope it is in SR77 to keep the costs down. From what I've read from others here SR77 tends to make a tougher big blade than SR101 too. Plus, the Rodent 9 is SR101 and it would help set it apart from that.

I'm a bit on the fence here. I think the 411 with mudders and no choil will be epic! if you bring back the color choices (or at least offer it as a choice between black, tan, green) I think ill be after a few of myself. but the 911 with a Regulator handle would be pretty dang awesome to get my hands on. But when i think about it, I'm still really hoping we will see a 9" Regulator Bowie at some point. I suspect if the 911 is rocking the Reg handles then it would make chances slimmer that we would see a 9" Reg...

I specifically registered just to vote for the 911.

No handle preference, but I love sr101. I love it because I have chopped my chopweiler into concrete (accident), knots in wood, and batoned through a nail (accident), and the edge is still great, with just a small chip from the nail. This will take me 10 years to sharpen out because it holds an edge forever. Plus it is easy to sharpen. I could go on, but let's leave it at that so I don't embarrass myself.

It's not even a contest - everyone wants the 911. Although I personally would rather see the much-requested-but-sadly-only-hypothetical 11-11. To paraphrase Nigel from Spinal Tap:

"As you can see, all of these knives go to ELEVEN. Eleven, eleven, eleven - one longer."

That hand is made for a 911! The 411 would simply be too tight a fit to his hand...

With the end of the world coming up in December, there will only be time for me to buy one more quality Scrap Yard blade. With the 311, 511, and 711, the only hole left is the 911. I see the 411 and 611 as fillers.

And since I don't own a chopper (I'm not counting my axe), I vote for the 911.

And my sick pregnant wife (with triplets), my 18 kids (3 in the Army, 2 in the Navy, 1 in the Marines, and the 3 smart ones in the Air Force,) my bent and lame mother-in-law, all want a 911 for Christmas (the last gift before the end). All of my 32 brothers agreed to throw away their Bucks, Gerbers, Case, Schrade.....for the chance to buy a Scrap Yard 911. And my 16 Sisters too.

Since I live in Illinois, and in the spirit of Private Klink, I make it 72 votes (don't forget the triplets) for the 911.

The 411 would be great for those who don't have a SS4, but since I already have one I say BRING ON THE 911. Preferably with the Regulator handle.

I can't keep up with all the good knives pouring out of the Yard/Swamp/& Busse, and have had to face the reality that I can't get them all <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />. That said, I'm sure I couldn't pass up the 911. I wanted to give one to my little brother for Christmas, but second best, his birthday is in May! You see, all he has to heat his home in the north country is two wood stoves <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sad.gif" alt="" />, and has a real need to split lots of wood.
Next up I would like the 411 with the mudders and follow up with color options and 154cm, please.

...a new knife coming from the "11 series" wouldn't be the exact same blood line. Therefore it could possibly be an in-law to the SOD and Dogfather...the "LawDog". Bring a 9-ll LawDog and I'm in! I came to the yard for big tough knives. Bring another.

I voted for the 411, because that's the one I'm interested in, but in all honesty, if the 411 has mudders and no choil, it doesn't matter so much to me if it comes before or after the 911. It'll be worth the wait either way. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I'd love a big SYKO, I *say* 1211, but really, 911 or larger. I would have already bought the Swamp Rat Rodent 9 except for the finger groove. In my experience, most handles with finger grooves raise hot spots after just a mild bit of chopping.

Tough is good. During my 06-07 deployment, I used a custom 52100 blade from my buddy Shane Justice to pry a frozen 120mm mortar round out of its carrier. The downside to 52100 is its tendency to rust in a heartbeat. I think I'd like SR77 even better than SR101, especially for a large blade.

Hell, while I'm wishing, I'd like a brown handle and sage blade. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> But really, if it's at least 9" of blade, and doesn't have any finger grooves, I'll buy it.

It would be great to return home from deployment in November, and have a 1111 or 1211 to take camping with me, to compare to my Camp Defender.

I want the 911 next. I need a big knife for the summer to hunt elusive fat wood deposits. I also have a bet going with my buddy for moose hunting this year. He is going to gut/skin/quarter etc his with his much loved sanmai trailmaster. I am going to race him on my moose with the 911 which I'm sure will be out by then. SR101 please so I can put his edge retention to shame. And convex too please. I don't like the handle on the rodent 9 or I would have bought one. Don't make me by a lesser knife just to have a showdown with my buddy on bulk winkle!

I also fully realize that 9" knives are not the ideal tool for making moose burgers but it's something that need settling between the two of us.

PERSONALLY, I think that the 911 Emotional Heart string tugging is beating out the 411 requests. I mean it WILL soon be time to prepare wood for the campfires. Ok, The 911 now (or at least as soon as Dan is ready to release). Then FOUR weeks after the 911 starts shipping, Dan can announce the 411 and when it will be ready for ordering. my guess is 611 as well, considering the Swamp has the 411 and 911, the Yard has 311 511 and 711 that leaves 611 as the only size between the 2, even though it is the one I least want I will probably buy one anyway but a fella can still hope for 911.....
