Here are the Dog Fathers; there weren't many, and I didn't land any: ![[Linked Image from i202.photobucket.com]](http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa21/jnphares/IMG_0177.jpg) My big "thrown away" opportunity was one of these; old-school original AKs (.25-inch A2 steel). I got the most desirable in the lot -- the snakewood handled one, and carried it around for a while before deciding that I didn't want to spend $897 on it, so I passed it along. ![[Linked Image from i202.photobucket.com]](http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa21/jnphares/IMG_0186.jpg) Here are more swords: ![[Linked Image from i202.photobucket.com]](http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa21/jnphares/IMG_0187.jpg) The one in the middle of this picture generated a ton of interest over on Bladeforums. It's a flying Chopweiler variant. I'd have loved to have gotten to it, but someone else did first. ![[Linked Image from i202.photobucket.com]](http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa21/jnphares/IMG_0212.jpg) I thought someone asked for a picture of an SS3, although I don't recall who. ![[Linked Image from i202.photobucket.com]](http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa21/jnphares/IMG_0213.jpg) I got all 3 of the Scrap Yard MODs. The tables had all been picked over by the time I grabbed them, but I'll take what I can get today. ![[Linked Image from i202.photobucket.com]](http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa21/jnphares/IMG_0178.jpg) Here they are in a picture I took when I got home: ![[Linked Image from i202.photobucket.com]](http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa21/jnphares/IMG_0214.jpg) and here's my only other purchase, a Busse Muk with alligator tooth in black epoxy handles and mosaic pins: ![[Linked Image from i202.photobucket.com]](http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa21/jnphares/IMG_0215.jpg) This was by far my smallest Knob Creek haul, but I'm happy with what I got. There was a LOT more that I wanted once I got there to look at it, but it all disappeared so fast. I thought for sure that I'd score some of the Leaner Meaners -- they were 0.15-inch thINFI, but not a one fell into my basket. Oh well, here are the rest of the pictures I took (although I still didn't get everything): ![[Linked Image from i202.photobucket.com]](http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa21/jnphares/IMG_0211.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i202.photobucket.com]](http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa21/jnphares/IMG_0210.jpg) I wanted this AD with snakewood as my #1 pick, but it was not to be. There were a bunch of HG-55s There were some absolutely gorgeous custom RMD handles at this sale. You can see my feet in some of the pictures; I suppose that I could have cropped them out. These finger-grooved RMD handles were quite comfortable, but I still prefer the standard shape -- it's more versatile rather than coercing your hand into a specific grip, even if it is comfortable. I also carried around the BOSS Jack at the far right in the picture below for a while. The fuller changed the balance just enough and the maple burl handles were exquisite, but I just didn't want it enough to pay the price. I suspect my decision would be different on another day, but today was not a good day to buy. Love the Rodent Solutions and RMD variants!
Jim, in the 1st pic, what's the knife on the right? Dumpster Mutt? Scrapper 6?
Hope you had fun!

Wow! I had a man on the inside telling me what was there, but there are a lot that I didn't hear about.
Thanks for the pictures! I REALLY need to go to knob next year. If I was there, I would've gone for so many of those. Congrats on your haul and thanks again for your help.
I almost had my buddy get me a KZ, but I don't know if I'd ever use it, so I opted out. There's always the ganza and blade to change my mind. I really like some of the custom RMDs and the satin Sabre ASH.

Thanks for the pics Jim; it just confirms that it's a good thing I couldn't make it. I would be so much farther in debt that I couldn't see over the stack of bills!!! ...............................................

Hope you had fun! It was a Dumpster Mutt -- there weren't any S6s. I didn't notice when I was there, but looking at the pictures, I see that DMs were priced at $129.95; also (and I did notice this at the sale), they had Busse basic handles. I recall that DMs were originally priced at $89.95, then they were a $69.95 show special and stayed down there for a several shows thereafter -- that's a bit of a price jump.

Thanks Jim....think having them next to the DF'f messed up my sizing. I'm surprised nothing has popped up on BF already. The last couple years folks have posted almost before KC ends! I might have to beg a proxy for Blade in case those hollow ground Rodent Solutions make an appearance...they look handy!!
