Is Elmax a proprietary steel name like SR101 or SR77? I trust you judgement but I'm just wondering. I didn't know other companies could use it...

No Elmax is made by Bohler-Uddeholm. It is a powdered metal. What is unique is the heat treat process that we developed...we get more performance than can be expected

how did you find out about the elmax steel. is it a easy steel to machine? I found out about it from the master (Jerry) and I had an opportunity to pick some up
