I don't have any real experience with shotguns. will have to see what kind of accuracy i get from my 20" 500 with slugs. I'm hoping to find that it's accurate enough for hunting as is. but i don't think I will be a fan of shooting slugs with a bead.

this is the one i should've gotten. with the straight stock the safety would be fine for me.

they stopped making the fn tps but it's the most tacticalled out shotgun ive seen from a factory. i think irs based on the winchester 1300's. the last of them were going for $500 less than a year or ago.

Lazi look up slug barrels for a 500. My 500 was an 18.5 barrel and Ghost rings sights. I bought a 28 inch vented rib barrel with a couple chokes. Its a decent all around bird and Turkey gun now as well as a great little home defense shotgun.

my 500 has the longer 7 round magazine tube. I could be wrong but i don't think mossberg makes a rifled barrel for that.

I like how Remington is making tactical barrels that will take rem chokes. Win win

I have seen a 6 shot and an 8 shot but not a 7.

I have the Maverick 88. It came with an 18" barrel with a heat shield and 26 or 28" modified choke barrel. I can't remember. I love it!

i have a 8 round shotgun but it's 7 in the magazine tube and 1 in the pipe. so 7 was just talking about the tube. think I would have to have a 6 shot 500 to be able to use those other barrels.

i'm reading about rifled slugs now. will just have to give them a shot. will probably head out in a minute to look for a regular stock to replace my knoxx pg. will order the green hogue in a week or so maybe. ill give the bead a try but im thinking a red dot would be a good option.
