Done with horseradish mustard and a bunched up paper towel in a random pattern. Left on for 30 minutes, and then touched up a second time. I like it. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics. I need to break down and get a legitimate camera! I would rather buy knives than a camera to take pictures of knives, though...

I might try to darken it up a little bit over the next few days, and then I'll put up some more pics. I feel like I need to do something to help protect it, because the SR-77 started developing rust pretty quickly after a really wet overnighter. I'm kinda wishing the guy I bought it from didn't strip it, but I will make it work.

Are you talking about cerakote or something like that? I've tried gun bluing in the past, and I couldn't tolerate the smell, and I didn't have the patience to wait for it to go away...

One of the Becker forum guys has done a bunch of this, and I like the look. I just get nervous with my two little kids around trying to use some of that stuff.
