Dan, I know you were collecting info and opinions during the sip and talk. If I could throw out a plea: Please make the muk--if you go forward with it--thicker than the Scrap Max blades.

While I love the design and I use the SM on every deer I process now, I find that it is so thin that the edge won't hold as well as I'd like. I know it's everything is trade off--thin blade=less edge to hold--and I have no complaints about it--it's perfect for what I need--but on a muk, I'd personally prefer something in the thickness of the Swamp Warden (sorry, the only one I have sitting next to me at the moment to compare with ). Thinner than the CG muk but thicker than the Scrap Max. Thanks

And since you hate squirrels, I leave you with some disturbing images:

My suggestion is 1/8" blade thickness and no more than 4" long.

Still hoping for D2, but I won't hold my breath.

And I'm sure I'll be the only one to ask for the Wardog handle.

+2....1/8", 3.75" long D2 w/ Wardog handles.

I like the idea of the War Dog handle for the Muk, probably my favorite handle on blades under 6". I'm not really a big fan of the mudder handles like everybody else is, not to mention it's already been done on the ScrapMuk.

I also think .170-.180 would be about the perfect thickness for this blade being that it's supposed to be a slicer. A wide blade at this thickness will have a thinnish edge while still being somewhat heavy duty.
