Opening day in CT- woohoo! There was a good bite on my spinner- Rooster Tails. Alejandro had a blast. These are good sized stocked trout for here.

Little sister Ana is pretty interested too!

Was raining pretty good this morning so we were the 1st to this town pond. I was hooking up on every cast for awhile. Thankfully, my boy finally got on board with catch and release! I didn't even want to keep the Rainbow, but he was hooked a bit ugly and Alejandro dropped him too...into the skillet with him!

A fun opening day! grin party up

nice fish! looks like your kids enjoy catching some good eats.

i like to use rooter tails when can but we always seem to have too much stuff in the water here. only a matter or time before you end up loosing it. and it's pretty much a guarantee something will snag it. i may end up trying some weedless hooks on them when it gets warmer.

right now i'm thinking jigging with a bobber is going to get me a lot better results than a tight line.

RN, the kids look like they had a great time. I can't wait until my son is old enough to take fishing, I know you had to have a great time~

Man, you guys are killing me! I need to get my fishing gear together and take Lucas out for his first "in-tow" catch. Too young to wield a rod, but I'm sure he could cause a mess with the leftovers laugh

Gotta love the start of the year. Was like 70 degrees today, I left work an hour early and just casted for a little. A nice breeze, sunny day and reeling in a couple small trout....ahhhhhh good for the soul!

Just got in and my boy caught his best trout yet! 15" and he's doing a lot more himself- doing muuuuch better keeping pressure on and setting the hook. Nice!
