I have the work sharp and really like it just practice with some lesser blades before you hit the good stuff. congrats on 24 k.

i have managed to only buy one knife so far this year but after looking at the show today that could change tomorrow.

How is it on thicker blades?

it dose real well on my Yard keeper and its built like a tank.

I've got a Spyderco Sharpmaker and it does ok, but it takes a while and reprofiling is about impossible.

You can always take the guide off and use it like a hand belt sander. the book suggests that for axes mower blades and such.

I have the sharp maker also but it is more for finishing work than re profiling.

I'm gonna put my order in for one in a couple weeks.

Anything you recommend when I make my order?
