Thanks JJ, this is a wonderful thread.

Its a shame that many people don't appreciate the reason behind some holidays. I work with about fifty people (we dont get holidays off unless they fall on our regularly scheduled off days), and on Verterans Day, for example, the only people that thank the vets are the other vets.

This is a great community, full of patriots. I'm proud to be a member here.

I am heading to boot camp June 3-7. If he went to Recruit Depot (boot camp) San Diego, P.M. me his name and I'll make sure his drill instructors give him extra "attention" care of uncle RN. wink

Love that cartoon JJ some people don't think about the real cost of there way of life anymore and I believe that has led to many of the issues we as a nation are facing now. I am still working for the government after my 7 years in the army it just made sense to keep going in the government's service. (although I have had second thoughts lately.) Having said that I would like to thank my brother and sisters who have given part of or all their life in the service of this nation.

The cost of freedom is not written in dollars, but the blood of the few, willing to sacrifice for the good of the many.

Thank you To ALL my brothers and sisters in arms, past present and future.

Pat's posting name was Tyger75, and in my dealings with him I found him to be a really great guy. His sister and family really appreciated the thoughts and actions of the Yard and the Busses. "Tyger75 - forever remembered".

Private Cemetery, they do this every year!
My paternal Grandparents are buried here.

There are flags completely surrounding this 10 acre cemetery.
