Nice Ray. I really like the looks of the Hest. I may have to look into one of those.

I never bought one because I thought the spike on the handle would get in the way. But I traded for it and the handle is comfortable. I haven't had any problems with the spike yet.

Hobbes is that from Zombie Tools? I alays wondered how their stuff actually performs and feels. If you use that sucker please let us know.

It's a Zombie Tools Vakra and it's massive. Almost 20 inches long and has just enough forward weight to make it a good chopper. I'll try it out this weekend and let you know how it performs.

It is the new 2013 Brush knife. I used it today and I like it so far. It is a big chopper for sure. 11 1/4" blade, .220 thick the length of the spine. 25oz for the knife alone and it is blade heavy but well balanced. A2 tool steel with black canvas micarta.
