Wool keeps you warm also when wet.

That's why I've always shied away from wool shirts. Can't stand itching.

THAT I knew,and is my main reason for wanting it. Feet sweat and the wool I think wicks the moisture away from our feet and as you said, will keep things warm even when damp/wet.

Merino wool won´t tickle, that´s why I use merino wool shirts when hunting etc. outdoor activities.

Sometimes,but not to bad. I used to sleep under military wool blankets without a sheet.

Plus it doesn't really get THAT cold here. Maybe for a couple weeks out of the winter.

Huh, didn't know that. I have often heard folks say get Merino wool items, but didn't know why, other than its good stuff.

Pretty much the same here, but think "Caught out in a snow filled ditch in your vehicle that won't start" Oh for minimum of 8 hours.
