Canvas feels great but absorbs hand oil and blood. Paper looks good and is less absorbant but slick when wet. G10 is very tactile, and nonabsorbant but expensive.
G10 can be slick too (depending on the cut).
This is an issue I haven't resolved internally. I own all three and go thru a mental analysis just about everyday.
