But, like your experiences, I never had any professor try to force or persuade their liberal ideas onto me in 6 years of college. Good thing, cause I definitely would have given him/her a piece of my mind. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
And that's exactly my point - if anyone is pushing their beliefs, it's the other kids, not the professors. Professors have so much other crap occupying their days that they simply don't have the free time it would require to reprogram the hundreds of students who pass through their classrooms every semester.
Easier to blame the mythical "academic elite" than accept that your childrens' views might change and evolve as they age or experience new things.
I know for me, personally, I came from a slightly liberal background, and took on a far more libertarian bent when I entered college, and even that has changed as I've moved on from those days.
