Bark River makes some great knives. Some Ted pics would be great.

Bark River Knife and Tool is one of the top knife companies. You will not find a sharper knife out of the box than a Barkie. You should take a look at them sometime. I have more Busse knives than I do Barkies, but I really like the ones I do have.

Well, that is relative I guess. They are about the same as Swamp Rat knives. In other words they are not cheap, but they are not out of this world expensive either. I have two Northwind swords from BRKT and they compare very well with my Busse AK. I could have bought four of them for the same price as the AK. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

I just got two new knives today. I got two Bark Rivers, the 1855 Bowie and the Bay de Noc Camp Knife. I got the coffin handled bowie with the desert ironwood burl handle. It's beautiful and feels great in my hand.

Bowie specs are:
Overall Length: 12 Inches Blade Length: 7 Inches Blade Steel: 154CM @ 58rc Blade Thickness: .225 Inches Blade Height: 1.5 Inches Weight:10.5 Ounces Balance is on the Ricasso.

The BdN is a big knife, but scary fast. It balances about an inch in front of the guard and doesn't have that chopper feel. It has a slicer feel.

Bay de Noc specs:
Specs: Overall Length: 14.775 Inch Blade Length:9.5 Inches Blade Steel: A-2 @ 58rc Blade Thickness: .187 Inch Weight: 10.5 Ounces

LOL!

Ted,
I ordered the exact same 1855 and a BdN yesterday! Should be here in three or four days.

Maybe we should coordinate our knife buying. We could just swap every few months. I'm pretty sure that would save both of us a lot of money and we'd still have the same knives. LOL

If we told you we'd have to turn in our club cards.

Actually, they were just released and we have pretty much the exact same taste in knives.
