Stripper DesertJack now with a buddy.

SS4 and a Skookum Bush Tool. The SS4 has been beat on ,reprofiled to a VERY thin zero edge and stripped of coating.

Sheaths.

A mix of users and safe queens.

The top dog DFLE ,I just can't bring myself to use so I may have to sell it to someone who can.
The Barker is nice but is now with Rooikat.
The Busse SH-E looks pretty but is really my go to user. It has a beautiful mirror polish that is not shown to it's best in this photo but since I did the polish I can always fix it again. I love flat ground blades and the heavy Ergo handle makes it very comfy and fast in the hand. The SOD is a hard sell with the SH-E and the one below it the Rosarms SN Bayonet. The SN is about the largest knife I can wear on a belt. It is one of those rare knives that can do it all.
Because it has a slight hollow grind and a lot less belly than the Busse-Kin blades it can handle detail work but it is still just big enough to chop with.
It has the best finish I have ever seen on a production knife. It is actually seen some hard use and still looks like a virgin. It also has a great sheath.
The 119 is more of a fighter and is there mostly because it is something everyone is familiar with for a size reference

So, users...

my chopweiler got its first use this weekend, but there will be more to come

[Linked Image from i231.photobucket.com]

my DMDC is another heavy user, and I make a hobby of jamming it into crevices and standing on it

[Linked Image from i231.photobucket.com]

my ranger RD7 Afghan has been around the block several times

[Linked Image from i231.photobucket.com]

But I don't think any of my knives can top my RMD in terms of millage. This knife has pryed, chopped, batonned, and sliced for more than a year now. Here it is next to a super-fine waterstone I bought in the oldtown of Kyoto, Japan, from a store that has been in business for nearly 500 years

Here it is next to the only knife that might tie it in terms of heavy use, my RTAK-II

I have both collectors and users. And yes, the quality of the materials is one of the aspects of a knife that a collector values.

That aside, I find your arrogant tone both distasteful and offensive, and I know that you knew that would be the case when you wrote your "disclaimer".

Though I do not mean to collect, it is just that I have not found the time to use all of what I have. No offense taken, Cloak. It's all good .

Almost all mine are users. I have a few safe queens but they are not Bussekin. Most are of the inlaid handle, damasucs MS variety....but thats a differnt story.

It is all personal choice, I have both safe queens and users. I love using my knives but some of them, especially the coated Swamp Rats are pretty and although they beg to be used I don't want to rip the coating off.... but that is my choice, I have other blades that fill the rolls of users imho

For serious collectors with 100+ knives...it is very hard to put every single one of them to hard use which is their maker's intend...

JYD #84 This is my rifle, and that is my SHTF Busse knife.

Very true, i have hundreds and hundreds of knives fixed fold etc and swords. I try to use them all but it gets to where I know what I like and just use that. The rest I keep and rotate.
