Mine was in the low to mid XXXX range, and I ordered it the Monday after they became available, about 2-3 days in, I think it came up for order on a Friday or Saturday.

....to my understanding - all the knives are the same... there is no difference in any of the batches. right?

Nope, it's just like anything else, they have to get the bugs worked out. By the time they get to the second round of production, they have it all figured out. First batch is pretty much a trial run and therefore useless.

Never want to buy the first year model of a car, remember?

OT - Hey, I'll give ya 10 bucks for that inferior SOD, I'll even pay shipping. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

As far as how many batches there is going to be, I cannot give out that information. When the production floor gets done with a quantity of knives they let me know and we begin to charge and ship those knives.
As far as the Canada orders and the LE's, the LE's are getting closer and will ship in the next few weeks. If you are from overseas and have a LE and a combat grade, your knives will ship together when the LE is ready. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Renee

I understand that, and thank you for answering our questions. In your opinion, do you think it is likely you will ship all non LE's before the Christmas Holiday?

Thanks again!

Thanks for the info Renee.
I have a dumb question. Mine is a Canadian order, but is only one knife, that being a black CG.
Will mine be shipped according to order number as US orders are, or will the
Canadian orders be treated according to a different schedule?
Sorry for the bother, just a dumb question.

Thanks.

To think of it, I should have joined the site here a lot earlier and learned what was going on-----then I would have talked myself into all three versions. Oh well, live and learn.

Hole Up Simple Man - are you saying that the 1st batch is somehow subpar to the rest???

Hmmm...Reconseed, you'd better send your SOD away for testing!
I'll test it for you <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> and if it's subpar, I'll dispose of it for you <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
