What do you know...the temperature has warmed up a bit! This is the info for the current temperature where I am now; kinda warm by Canadian standards. I was even kind enough to put it into Fahrenheit for you Yanks! LOL!

You mean the temp can go below zero? That's crazy talk.

Hahaha great post. Here in bakersfield its gotten into the 30's well at night. It got way cold last night. I couldent even sleep and i had sweats a hoodie and doubled up socks on. My apartment is old and very poorly insulated.

I hate all these no burn restrictions i have a fire place and plenty of wood and can't even use it to keep warm. Oh well.

It's cold everywhere. Here in northern CA we had 8" snow up on Mt. Hamilton earlier this week and it's only a short 20 minute drive from San Jose. It's gonna be 34F tonight which does not compare to our northern dogs weather but is pretty cool for us.

It's -36 Fahrenheit right now as I post this. I am not to far from high level Alberta.
Last year it had gotten so cold here that my tires froze in the shape that I had parked, for the first few minutes driving to work it was like driving with square tires. It gets as cold as -60F here at times. You southerners don't know what cold is.

It's pretty easy to separate the huskies from the chihuahuas when members start talking about 60F being cold. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

(current temperature here is 10.1F... we got about 6 inches of snow last night, and it's still snowing at the moment)

63F here this morning.

Of course I did used to live in Syracuse,NY...so I *am* accustomed to a bit of cold weather; I just haven't seen much this year.

YEAH!!!!
You know it's cold when your tires freeze flat like that!!!
Happened to me in Prince George BC one time. Was -50 F overnight and when
I went to drive in the morning, it was like driving on blocks, rotating blocks. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

KN, have you ever had to UNTHAW your vehicle engine with a Tiger torch????
<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> I have <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
Took almost a full 25lb tank of Propane before the oil was thawed out enough to
allow the engine to start turning over <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I walked 2 miles to high school once in -53F. Got to the school, and it was
closed because the water pipes burst. Had to turn around and walk back home.
When my friend and I got to my place, my mom offered us a hot chocolate. By the time
the HC was ready, my friends nose had thawed and the blood vessels in his nose
burst. Had to take him to the hospital. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

The funny thing is that 2 years ago, my cousin who lives there still, was out
playing golf at Christmas time. The grass was still growing...
